Wicked, Eurovision a.k.a. The Queer Agenda

Hello Losers, I went to Edinburgh yesterday to see the musical Wicked (finally). Yes, the original Disney's Frozen. Seriously, why does no one call out Disney for copying Wicked, evil character is now good, pointless love interest and attempt at sisterhood and friendship. I said attempt because Frozen really fails at that angle, with it pointless love interest (I mean Ana is dead because she needs a man) and continuing with the annoying sidekick.

When are we getting the Wicked film, we're had a film musical about Slave owner and undermines the talent/skill of the actual people he exploited, also cheating as sub-plot. IMDb says 20 December 2019, but we know never to trust IMDB. Wiki also says that date, it's from 2016.

It's the first time I've seen Wicked, I've listened to the full soundtrack so roughly know the storyline and Twists. It was good, performance. I could do without the Love Triangle. I get the choice for story telling reasons and agree you needed another character there. I just wish we had media where Friendships carried the story, instead of always relaying on Romantic Love. Use other types of Love.

Didn't get hang around Edinburgh much though due my parents not getting how Tech works. My dad actually called the Apple hotline where the help person told my parents that serial number of the phone was on the back of the phone when it's not. It's on the inside, you need to be able to get into the phone to get that number. He meant that IMB number, so I get annoyed at this guy, it obviously bad training, but I'm trying to do something while my father is annoying me with a stupid phone thing that I've already told him he should try and get a new cable for as all the ones in the house are broken in some way or not cable of transferring data. I'm not shouting at this guy, my tone is annoyed, because I don't like phones and he's straight wrong, I want to hang up. I'm also saying Apple sucks, which my dad shouts at me for, like the phone guy cares what I think of the company he works for. It's not like he has high ranking job. Who calls help call lines anymore? You just google it. My Dad is literally 60 though.

So I didn't get to go Prince Street with its giant shop versions. The Primark is four massive floors.

Of course, I am watching EUROVISION, the gayest night of the year where the whole of Europe (and several other places not actually in Europe) battle through music and video effects that must look weird in person. China isn't officially watching this year due to Tattoos and two guys holding hands a.k.a. it's too gay for them.

Stage invading, didn't hear/understand what he said but it sounded political. I'm sure there will be stories about it. Hella, a security risk. Stage invading happens too much in Eurovision. We came 24th of 26 countries. It sounds better if you include the semi-finals, that we by-pass due to money.

So Israel won, next year is going to be awkward. You don't know how aware people are of what their country's government is doing but Jerusalem is real complicated and I'm not the person to track that. I will say that Eurovision winner does not have to host the contest in their capital city so it being held doesn't mean that Europe agrees that it's their capital. It's also been host in Jerusalem a few times. I do think it going to take some of the fun out of Eurovision, like that time Russia hosted, with all their homophobic policy and invading Ukraine.

UK has some fucked up policy and joined up with America in things they shouldn't have. In terms of song criticize, it was decent. I don't love it, but I'm not angry about the song winning. Eurovision is not meant to be political (it almost always is. We only really had one song this year). I'm going to bed, we're see what happens next year or whatever.

The Animaniacs (Sweet, Sweet Childhood Gold)

I recently stumbled on to something from my childhood and in true fangirl style, I sat and watched all the episodes off Youtube. Sure, if possible I would have brought the full boxset but Warner Bro. in the annoying attitude to their 90s cartoons have not released any of it at all the DVD in UK, yet it existences in such form in the states. So for now I make do with two volumes of Batman: The animated series and wait for other volumes of fine cartoons to be release my region.

Back to the much happier topic of the cartoons themselves. I fondly remember watching Animaniacs after school on BBC One children programming (which as of recently no longer exists).  I was wandering about Tumblr, like I normally do when Animaniacs related post appear and it put me in the mood to go listen to some of the Animaniacs songs on Youtube. For those unaware, one of the high lights of the Animanics being its songs.  I've had the theme song for one being stuck in my head. Though, for some reason when I sing it out loud the tune starts turn into a Fall Out Boy song. Not sure which one, but it sort of amuses for the moment.

The Animaniacs was show that several different stories in one episode and there 99 episodes. Mostly involved the Warner Brother and the Warner sister Dot. It also the launch the Pinky and the Brain that eventually got its own show and featured on shows the Executives had summoned from Hell so we won't talk about that.

There were several different recurring characters. Not all that I like, for examples I never got the Hippos, Chicken Boo or Buck and Mindy. The Good Feathers were alright sometimes. I just really the Warner Brothers and think that they probably could had a show just with them.  I also like the Good Idea, Bad Idea segment as well. Slappy the Squirrel is also very entertaining idea of an old Cartoon Stars.

Basically, I love it and you should all go watch it. It makes fun of its own network (I'm petty sure they do it before the Simpson does), the jokes are mature audience (some times adult), which one reason I probably liked it as kid. I've always hated shows that play dumb for kids. Kids are lot smarter than they get credit for and yes do like stupid stuff but so do you. Its a show that both kids and adults will enjoy and therefore stands the test of childhood. I hate when you go back to something you liked as a kid and its shit. This was and is still awesome.

It actually like a better Family Guy, in times of its songs and parodies and unlike Family Guy it doesn't become too idiotic and lazy. (I could rant how Family Guy should really just stop now.

The voice acting in is amazing as well, they basically have the best in the business for the time and there are a lot voices you should reconise (but only if you look at the credits cause otherwise you're have no clue).

That all I really wanted to say on the matter, it 20 year old show that I love and so should you. It also might explain where some of my humour came from but probably not. Anyway, I leave you with my favourite song from the whole show.

20th Birthday *half-hearted whoop*

So today is my Birthday. Well, not actually. I'm really writing this from yesterday. Right now I'm still teen, but when you read this I shan't be anymore. Its sort of all Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey, isn't it?

I guess some of you might be wondering what I plan to do on my Birthday. Well, the answer is obvious. I'm going to be in two shows today. I've spent every night being in a Production of Beauty and the Beast the past week and week before rehearsing it everynight but Saturday that week. Tonight's performance will actually be the last. So seconded year in a row I've been doing something for the last time on my Bday.

I sort of realised, I mean I was sort of knew I would associate my Birthday with this, that I be able to count how many years since I left school by taking 19 out whatever age I am. So its a year since I left school, it doesn't feel a like a year. I missed the variety of school. College seems rather boring so far and I haven't learned much.

Two of my sibling are showing up today, mainly to see the show.My older brother was annoyed to find out that no one had invite him to see the show. Frankly, though it my birthday and he said nothing about that until the show came up. I should probably just unfriend the bugger.

I don't know if my sibling coming today to see it was such a smart idea. Just because the two shows and the stress of it all.

Its terrible Doctor Who is on, on my birthday and I won't be able to watch it till Sunday probably.

So I'm off to listen to songs about teenagers while I'm still in that age range.

Putting the Beast into Beauty (Oh, wait...)

So in the last blog I said I was going to go to a Amateur Drama Production meeting, did you know Amateur basically means doing it for the love it, yay, not that surprising. So I went to the meeting and the Audtation for it, completely sleep deprived.

You guys mignt not know this but I'm amazing actor and singer. HAHAHA....(continue for ten minutes). I'm alright actor and can keep a note with practise.

I went up for the main part since I love that character and there wasn't really that much choice. I didn't get it. Someone who's too old for the part got it. Its amateur, just kinda ruins it since one of the themes of the musical is coming of age. Oh well, no one expects this much of this things.

I've got to say the way they had us sing in pairs to audition was really off putting. I probably have done better if I sang by myself.

Anyway, not having a part in the musical means I only have to go to one meeting a week now instead of two. So sooner to my bed on Monday.  I probably spend too much time there, but I don't have a couch in my room.
